2025 Fat Thursday

seems like it’s today

Carnival’s last week starts

and next Tuesday ends

there are those who wear masks

and those who eat fatty foods

for me today

is a normal day

I have been reading

and, of course, writing

since before the birth of the new day

and I will go, as usual, on until its decay
